Cayman Atlantic Ltd “the Firm” is an investment management company registered in the Cayman Islands. The Firm was incorporated in June 2011 using the services of Appleby Trust (Cayman) Ltd who continue to provide corporate administration services.
The Firm’s registered address provided by Appleby Trust (Cayman) Ltd is Clifton House, 75 Fort Street, George Town, Grand Cayman, KY1-1108, Cayman Islands.
Whilst there are no specific regulatory requirements placed on the Firm with regards to minimum capital adequacy levels the Firm intends to maintain at least £100,000 available capital at any one time. We believe this is good industry practice to ensure the Firm remains liquid. In the event the Firm breaches the £100,000 minimum capital level the Investor, clients, creditors and partner firms will be notified and the Firm will take immediate measures to raise additional capital.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Mr Hawtin has the required knowledge, skills and experience to successfully manage the Firm: Certificate in Securities, Regulation and Derivatives from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), Associate of the CISI. Held an Approved Person status position on the FSA register from 2007 to 2013, Trainee Stockbroker at SVS Securities 2007/2008, Sales Trader at Saxo Bank 2008/2009, Setup Derwent Capital Markets Ltd in 2009 and gained FSA authorised and regulated status, Setup the “Derwent Absolute Return Fund” Cayman Islands domiciled collective investment scheme “Twitter Fund”, Setup DCM Capital Ltd in 2012 and gained FSA authorised and regulated status. Mr Hawtin has a deep understanding of the regulatory requirements and environment for the investment management industry as well as 10 years experience trading derivatives through IG Markets Ltd (London).

IG Markets Ltd (London) “IGM” will provide an important service to the Firm providing margin trading sub-accounts in which segregated client funds will be deposited. Mr Hawtin has an excellent relationship with “IGM” going back five years. Whilst “IGM” are not the only option available the Firm believes they provide the best quality of service. Mr Hawtin has excellent knowledge of their products and services including their L2 Dealer professional trading platform which will be used to manage all trading accounts along with trade execution.
The Firm will continue to use the services of Appleby Trust (Cayman) Ltd “ATC” for all the corporate administration tasks. “ATC” are a highly reputable firm with a competitive fee structure and can assist with regulatory issues.
The Firm has a business bank account with Butterfield (Cayman) and NatWest (London). The Cayman account will be used to hold the majority of the Firm’s own capital whilst the London account will be used to operate transfers and withdrawals from IG Markets (London).
Accounting and Auditors
We intend to appoint KPMG (London) to conduct an annual audit on the Firm’s investment performance.
